Originally from Battle Creek, Michigan, Jane Darin discovered her passion for quilting when she moved to the Quad Cities. She has over 25 years of quilting experience and has been a Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild member since 1998. Many of Jane’s first projects were scrappy quilts, and she quickly developed an eye for using “leftovers” to make masterpieces. She’s been awarded Blue, Red, and White ribbons from MVQG in the 2000’s along with a Blue ribbon from the Illinois State Fair. In recent years, Jane has focused her talents on making quilts for those that need them most: children in residential homes, veterans, and MVQG’s charitable group. Designing patterns, teaching classes, and lecturing at area quilt guilds gives her a platform to share her knowledge—while also serving as a great motivator to finish new projects!
