What I did on my summer vacation:
- Went to Maui for 2 weeks and---saw sea turtles, shopped, found a quilt shop in a mall, went for walks, saw cool flowers, hiked, went to an aquarium, watched a water bottle collapse coming down a mountain, and read a few books.
- Watched some awesome fireworks for the 4th of July
- A daughter got her braces off
- Went to visit family in another state
- Picked up hours at work
- Watched lots of softball games
- Helped with Bible school
- Picked blueberries
- Picked tomatoes
- Made spaghetti sauce
- Made salsa
- Made plum jam
- Made zucchini bread
- Went swimming
- Went fishing
- Went to Mayo for a conference
- Sent the youngest kid to a new school (Middle School)
- Did very little quilting!
- Remind dad to schedule the hip surgery that he really needs.
- Hear that mother has yet again fallen of the bike.
- Made scarf made from fabric purchased while at Mayo
- Finished bibs for baby born in July. Still not delivered.
- Started a quilt as you go project for the Christmas Traditions
- Buy a new car
- Take old car in for brake problems
- Take other old car in for wheel bearing problems
- Go to local quilt show for 2 hours--not long enough but got to go.
- Take child for enlarged ear???? Infection? Allergies? Bite?
- Pick up hours at work
- Made a mission meal

What a busy lady! I think every quilter understands about life getting in the way of quilting.
