First, Here is the Design Wall. This is the story of my life. I am falling apart. This is the just one corner of the sew room.
After the family getting sick over the last month or so, I finally lost the battle. My ears are plugged, the skin hurts and am just plain falling apart.
What do you think? Is the sew room falling apart?
You can see my UFO #10 in the machine. There is usually a quilt hanging in front of the pictures over the counter, it keeps falling down. I put it back up yesterday, that is why the stool is in front of the counter. The UFO quilt isn’t getting much work since I am felling so nasty. Is this going to be another month of not accomplishing the UFO? You can see my failure for January’s UFO.
I will say that I am getting more things done. We turned off the TV yesterday, I am doing a little work on my socks since I can lay in bed and knit.
Lola went to Sadie Hawkins. She had a good time. MJJR had a basketball tournament. They won a game, first time in a while that they have won. The last game for the year.

It seems all the bad stuff hits at once, which is maybe good...get it out of the way. Get the feeling sorry for yourself out of the way all at once. And before you know it, you'll be feeling better and you can tack that design wall back up and who really cares if your sewing room isn't spotless? (A tidy creative work area makes me want to just sit in awe of my clean area instead of creating...guess that tells you how often I clean if I'm in awe of it!) I do hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteHope things get back to normal soon!
ReplyDeleteYou should be about done with the bad stuff for the year. Now you rest and feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, the quilt on the wall is wonderful;) I like the blues and the browns together and that pattern you used is great;)
ReplyDeleteAs for the working space....once you feel better, you can tackle it;) I go through my stuff about once a year....and then let it run amock the rest of the time;) Just relax, get better, and worry about the little stuff later;)
Happy Quilting!!
Hope you get feeling better. Any progress on a UFO is progress...and closer to finished.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your family feel better soon. It is ok to let things fall apart every now and then. Makes us feel so good when they get picked up again.
ReplyDeleteThe room isn't falling apart—it's coming together! All quilter's rooms get that way! Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better soon, too. Don't worry about the house or sewing room, it can be taken care of once you are back on your feet. Take care of yourself first so you can take care of your family next. Enjoy the knitting for now and get some rest.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon. The blue and brown quilt is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteGeez, your sewing room looks like mine after a fabric rampage! Throw Flit into the works and it's even worse, LOL. Get better first. The housework and cleaning will still be there for later.

Hope you start feeling better, if you don't finish your UFO there will always be time down the road. Get well.
ReplyDeleteI really doubt the quilt police will arrest you if you fall behind on the UFO's! First thing to do is take care of yourself so you can get well! Being sick is no fun; I know; I've been there three weeks now! When you get to feeling better, hold off on admitting it one more day and take advantage of just lying in bed! Nobody has to know! *wink* ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself, hope you are feeling better soon. Even if you didn't get the UFO done, making any progress is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteWhen you're sick, you're sick. And, it takes a lot of time to take care of a sick family. Don't beat yourself up. When all are well again you can jump back into the challenges but until then, REST!
