What makes a good day

Life has been so busy lately. Our house is starting to slow down. It will not stay here but the lull is rejuvenating.

A good day today is:

A great haircut yesterday and it looks almost as good as the stylist's today!

Time to work on quilts.

A fire in the fireplace.

A talk with a good friend.

Laundry is a cooking.

Fresh sheets on the bed.

Getting warm fuzzies while reading a the bible.

Remember, the day is what you make it.

All this after a nauseating migraine this morning.

Enjoy life.

  1. Sorry to hear about the migrain but your other thoughts sound great. Especially how good it feels to crawl into a bed with fresh sheets. Mmmmmmm good!

  3. Your blog reminds me of that old song, "When You Come to the End of a Perfect Day". Sounds like you have a pretty good handle on life! May tomorrow be even better for you! ---"Love"

  5. Re the Block Swap - You would need to make 2 blocks per draw/month. So far we have about 10 people in the draw. Cheers Ann :-)

  6. Keeping things simple...it's a good day in and of itself;) Migranes...only had one in my life...wouldn't wish it on anybody.

  7. Sure hope Friday and today have a better start. Migraines are just excruciating! But most of us would agree that the rest of your day would be most pleasurable. Those bad moments remind us to be grateful for things that bring us joy. Mary
